Do you online shop?

We do a lot of our shopping online. We have found that even with shipping, the prices are lower and the selection is much bigger. Every time I shop online I use Ebates. Honestly I thought everyone already knew about Ebates, but I mentioned it to Angi once, and she hadn't heard of it so I thought I would share.
Before I shop online, I go to ebates.com first and log in. From there I can go to most of my favorite websites and shop as normal. Usually within a couple of days I get an email that says my Ebates account has been credited. Different websites give you anything from 1%-5% back your total purchase. Sometimes there is even specials and you can get up to 10% back. 4 times a year Ebates mails out Big Fat Checks. Free money!!
Ebates is free to sign up for and free to use. Most of the websites I shop from are on there (Modcloth, Kohls, TOMS, etc.) Only certain categories from Amazon are on there, so that kind of sucks. And Forever 21 isn't on there, yet. They do add shops pretty frequently.

You can use this link to sign up for Ebates. I do get a referral bonus when people sign up through this link, and then start shopping. But, I do think it is really a cool thing if you shop online. So far I have been paid over $90, and right now my next check will be at least $44.

What is your favorite online shopping site? Have you ever used ebates?

Stunna Shades!

Buy Cheap Prescription Eyeglasses Online, Reading Glasses, Fashion Eyewear on Firmoo.com
When I was contacted by Firmoo to try out a pair of glasses from their website for free I was pretty excited. I had seen plenty of bloggers showing off their new glasses and writing up reviews. I had even clicked through the website a few times to look at their selection. The one thing that was holding my from saying yes right away is the fact that I haven't been to an eye doctor in at least a decade. I just keep making the text bigger on my laptop and Nook. BUT then I noticed their large selection of sunnies and since the sun is starting to come out, I knew that I should try out a pair.

I started by looking through their super cute styles. I uploaded a picture of myself so I could virtually try on each pair before I made my selection. This is where I had a little bit of an issue. According to Firmoo, 98% of people find their perfect pair that way. For me, they all looked ridiculous on my forward facing picture. So, I just sucked it up and ordered the cutest ones I saw.

I received my glasses fairly quickly after I ordered them. They came with a hard case as well as a soft drawstring bag and a cleaning wipe. Luckily, I don't think they look ridiculous on my face. I guess I am just part of the 2%. I got mine with non-prescription lenses, but they also have prescription lenses as well.

Firmoo has a wide selection of frames, and the prices start extremely low. As a bonus, they have a first pair free program. They also provide a full refund if you don't like the product. One of these days when I get around to going to the eye doctor, I'll take my prescription and order a pair of glasses.

Spokesmodel Available for Hire

This weekend, The Mister and I watched the NBA All-Star Game. I was sort of/mostly paying attention to the game (while reading blogs, cleaning up from dinner etc). What caught my eye was the commercials that the NBA players were in.

I seriously doubt Blake Griffin is driving around LA in a Kia, and I don't think Shaq has ever met a product he wouldn't endorse. But, it got me thinking about what products I would be more than willing to be a spokesperson for:
MultiVites Gummy Vitamins for Adults
Source
The peach flavor for sure. I mean berry and orange are okay, and if it was an all or nothing deal I would still pimp them out, but the peach are the bomb. (Seriously, I just called them "the bomb." Who am I?

Juicy Pear and Apple Jelly Belly
Source
These two flavors are hands down the most delicious. If you don't think so you are wrong.

Arm & Hammer Cat Litter
Source
I have two cats. Kitty litter is a daily part of my life. This stuff works.

Sanford Pencil Sharpener
Source
A lot of my teacher friends have switched to electric pencil sharpeners. I still like this kind. Mine just got replaced at school and let me tell you, there is nothing better than a freshly sharpened pencil. (For reals, who says stuff like that?)
Psych
Source
Psych is about to start their 7th season. I just finished season 3. I can't believe it took me this long to start watching this show. It's funny and doesn't take itself too seriously. Clearly I don't take myself to seriously either.

What products do you want to be a spokesperson for?

My Celebrity Fashion Crush

Yesterday I posted about my celebrity crushes from back in the day. Today I am sticking with that theme but this is all about my current celebrity fashion crushes.
Celebrities have always set fashion trends. Two classic examples?

I don't think anyone would argue that these two beauties are not fashion icons.

More recently we see the likes of Jennifer Aniston, the Kardashians and Reese Witherspoon.

While I love a lot of the fashion choices of two of those, my real fashion icon is a fictional character:
What can I say, I'm a sucker for a cardigan.
The Mister and I watch Big Bang Theory together, in fact it is one of the few shows that we agree on. He laughs at me when I say things like, "Look at her outfit. It's so cute." Usually we see her in a printed dress (mostly floral), a solid colored cardigan and colored tights. The Mister told me to write a blog post about my love of her clothes (I'm pretty sure he was joking) so I decided to do a little research and I found Wornontv.net

From the looks of it, the website is run by one or two people. They take a handful of shows and try to find similar outfits that the characters are wearing. Big Bang Theory is one of the shows (I saw Glee, HIMYM, Gossip Girl and Pretty Little Liars among others.) On a picture of the outfit it will say something like "exact match found" or "3 similar items" you click on it and it takes you to links. They had links to dresses similar to Bernadette's as well as her cardigans and tights. There were some exact matches as well. A couple of the dresses were no longer in stock. Sad day for me.

One postive, most of the links for Bernadette's clothes were taking me to shops like Forever 21. When I clicked on Robin's links (from HIMYM) they were to some much higher priced items.
Robin's white and black leaf print shirt on HIMYM season 8
This is an $879 top from Neimen Marcus. For reals.
If anything, the worn on TV website is a fun time waster :) Enjoy.

I was inspired after I wrote this post to head to my closet and see what Bernadette-style outfit I could put together. Here I am in all my fashion blogger glory.

The floral dress and belt is from Modcloth. The blue sweater is like 10 years old or something. I think I would like this better with a brown cardigan and maybe some mustard colored tights. And if my dress wasn't wrinkled. That would make it much better.

Who is your celebrity fashion crush? Is there a character you would like to see on Worn on TV?

Worn on TV doesn't know me. In fact, I didn't know about them until this weekend. They didn't give me anything for this post.

My favorite things

And you get a car! And you get a car! And you get a car! Oh Oprah, I miss you.
I'm not Oprah, but I did an amazing photoshop on this picture.

Okay, I used Paint. Photoshop is too hard for me.
About this time of year is when people very generously start asking "what do you want for Christmas?"  I never have anything to say. I thought I would post about my favorite things, so you can add them to your Holiday wish list, and maybe you could post your favorite things, and then I can steal your favorite things and put them on my list.
My favorite things

1. bare Minerals. I started using bare Minerals last year, and I love it. It evens out my skin tone and takes just a minute or two to apply. If you are looking for a new foundation, try it out.
2. Foaming hand soap from Bath and Body Works. This might be silly, but this is my favorite hand soap. Right now we have three different bottles being used in our house, all different smells. I would LOVE some of these under my tree.
3. Keurig. I am the only coffee drinker in the house, and this is a no brainer for a single cup brewer. So easy to make and clean.
4. Gilmore Girls on DVD. This is my favorite show. So many good things to say about it. Except season 6. I hate season 6.
5. essie. Who can't use more nail polish colors? I had always thought $8 was too much for nail polish and then 2 things happened: 1) I tried essie and it is so much better and nicer than cheap polishes. The other thing? I read a blog post. I don't remember who wrote it. Basically she said that nail polish trends are something that she never felt guilty about buying the higher quality product for  because in all reality it is still only about $10. If you are following another trend, the high quality item might be $100's. That post changed the way I look at life. Did you write it?
6. TOMS. These are my most favorite shoes of all time. I have two pairs and I need about 5 more.
7&8. B&N nook and nook cover. This is my exact cover. I got it at this etsy site and I think it's the cutest thing ever. The quality is excellent, however I use Mr. Nook at the beach and outside and the light background is starting to get a bit icky looking. When I replace this adorable cover, I will find one with a darker background. She has a couple I am already eyeing.

These are some of my favorite things, what are yours? I need some ideas for my list!

I Really Shouldn't Have...

I couldn't help myself.

I looked in a few brick and mortar stores and never found one. I tried to get it out of my mind, but I just couldn't let it go. So I went online and after a few quick keystrokes, I had it ordered. Yes, I am talking about a donut pan.

Macys
The truth is, I don't LOVE donuts. I mean don't get me wrong, if I can get to the grocery store bakery first thing in the morning when the donuts are just being put out, and they are still warm, I do usually get one. My nose won't let me NOT get one. Especially this time of year and the apple cider donuts. Yum.

One of the blogs I drool over read, is How Sweet It Is. Oh man, this lady can cook. I want to eat like 95% of her posts, and I really wish she was my neighbor. The name of her blog would lead someone to think it is full of sweet treats, which it does, but it also has tons of tasty treats. This was the first place I ever heard of a donut pan. Then I started looking up recipes

Take a look at what I am talking about:
Red Velvet Cake Donut (She also has a similar story about not wanting to buy a donut pan on this one)
Pumpkin Donut with Spiced Sugar
Chai Donuts

What the heck is a Missoni?

Am I the only one who didn't get the memo about the Missoni line at Target? The Target website actually shut down twice because of it. And Lame-o Me had to google Missoni to see what the check it was. I learned that Target has a 400+ piece collection the ranges from clothing, to accessories to home stuff. I guess it all came out on Tuesday and by Wednesday it was pretty much picked through. I did some window shopping online browsing, and picked my favorites from the line. (This was not in depth research. I looked at one website. I reserve the right to change my favorite if I find something later. I also have no idea how much this stuff costs. That could also change my mind about my favorites quickly :)

Missoni at Target Bathing suit: Too cute! I could live without the headband though.
Missoni for Target Pillows: I'm a huge fan of the patterns and the bold colors/textures, however I don't think the Mister would love the colors.
The boots. The scarf. I die. Hurry up Fall weather!!!
Finally, look at that bike. I puffy heart love it.

We're you a part of the cool kids this week and hear about this Missoni stuff? Any fabulous things I missed out on???
