Weekend Adventures

Our weekend started off with a bang on Thursday night here

I forgot my camera, so this was taken with my crappy cell phone camera. I don't know if you can read it but we had tickets to see this guy:

I just love Aziz Ansari. I have never been to a stand up comedy show before, but he and his opening comic were really funny. We got these tickets months ago and I had been looking forward to it ever since. I was so happy that it didn't suck. One of my favorite bits he did was about his friends telling me that they are going to have a baby, and his response is "I am literally going to do what ever in the hell I want."

We had a pretty laid back rest of the weekend. The Mister very rarely gets to take a weekday off, and he just wanted to relax. We are in the only area of the country that is not melting. In fact, the weather this weekend was pretty crummy, so we decided to go see a movie.

It was a bit different than I thought it was going to be, but I liked it. The Mister called it "the most boring of all the Pixar movies" so there you go.

Finally the cherries in my back yard were ready to pick. The birds and I made a deal that they can have all teh ones on the top, and I get the ones that I can reach without being on teh top of the ladder. For the most part this arrangement works.
Why yes, I am wearing a hoodie in July... Yay Oregon

Here's a couple of pounds of pitted cherries. Most of these guys are in the freezer right now. A couple friends also came over and picked 2-4 pounds each and the trees still have more. It's crazy to me that people pay $7.99/lbs for these bad boys. I mean they are good and all, I just have always had cherry trees so I have never bought them.

Along with freezing the cherries I also mad a bunch of shredded chicken and turkey meatballs to freeze. I know I am a party animal on the weekend. I should really calm down :)

How was your weekend? Are you more exciting than me?
